Sweet CoralEye.
At first I was creeped out, but it didn't take long for me to fall in love with this repurposed doll.  My son broke her and for some reason I still held on to her, maybe because I felt bad.  Dolls take on little personalities and can seem a bit too much like people sometimes. Little did I know she would serve this amazing creative purpose, and pave the way for an entire new collection.

CoralEye's siren scales are hand-painted with my own mixture of interference paint to create the perfect, iridescent hue.  Just like real fish scales, their color is only visible when the light hits them just right. Her scales are the perfect detail to suggest the transition from human to mermaid.  This happens if you’re underwater long enough for corals to grow on you.

CoralEye is embellished with a crown of barnacles, shells, corals, and clustered clear quartz points.  She is mounted on frosted lucite, and measures 8.5 inches tall, 4.5 inches long, and 4 inches deep. 

Like all my MerMade dolls, she is truly enchanting and will bring a little underwater magic wherever she goes.
